Section XI Athletics For All Program Rolls Into 2026 With Successful Bowling Event
The Section XI Athletics For All Program kicked off 2026 with a memorable and inclusive event, bringing together more than 110 student-athletes for a day of fun, teamwork, and community at Centereach Lanes.
The bowling outing highlighted the Athletics For All program’s mission: creating meaningful athletic and social experiences for students of all abilities. Athletes filled the lanes with enthusiasm, encouragement, and sportsmanship, cheering one another on as they enjoyed friendly competition in a welcoming environment.
Beyond strikes and spares, the event emphasized connection and inclusion, as students from across Section XI schools bonded through shared experiences and positive energy. Coaches, staff, and volunteers praised the athletes for their excitement, support of one another, and commitment to making the day special for everyone involved.
With such a strong start to the year, the Section XI Athletics For All Program continues to demonstrate the power of inclusive athletics and looks ahead to more opportunities to bring student-athletes together throughout 2026.
Rocky Point Wrestling’s Tyler Callahan Reaches 100 Career Varsity Wins
A major milestone was reached on the mat this week as Rocky Point’s Tyler Callahan earned the 100th varsity win of his high school wrestling career, a testament to years of hard work, perseverance, and competitive excellence.
Callahan’s achievement reflects countless hours of training, mental toughness, and a commitment to continual improvement. Reaching the 100-win mark is a rare accomplishment in high school wrestling and places him among an elite group of athletes who have demonstrated consistency and resilience across multiple seasons.
