Rocky Point and Mount Sinai won the Suffolk County team dual meet championships on Saturday afternoon at Bay Shore High School.
Rocky Point competes in Division I, while Mount Sinai in Division II.
Runnerup Brentwood is hoping for an at-large bid to the state tournament, which will be announced Sunday along with the team seeding (not yet announced when this article was published).
Scott Reh has been named as New York State Athletic of the Year.
Reh has been the Director of Athletics, PE, Health, Nursing and Grounds in the Mount Sinai School District since 2000.
“I am honored and humbled to be named athletic director of the year and cannot be prouder to be part of such a great group of individuals and dedicated colleagues in Section XI,” said Reh.
Reh is an inductee of the Rocky Point, Adelphi and Suffolk County Sports Halls of Fame.

It’s never too soon to think about warmer weather and spring sports.
This spring will feature the first Bob Hoppey High School Lacrosse Classic hosted by Brentwood Varsity Lacrosse on Saturday, April 7.
The day will showcase eight programs from all across Long Island competing, and will also feature an opportunity for Brentwood alumni Jason Lambert to coach his Smithtown East Bulls at Brentwood for the first time since graduating there as a two-sport star in 1998.
Teams competing include Brentwood, Smithtown East, Massapequa, Northport, Riverhead, Mattituck, East Meadow and Deer Park.

This day of lacrosse is about honoring the memory of the late, great Hoppey, who coached at Brentwood from 1959 to 1988. The Suffolk Sports Hall of Famer won 303 games, nine league titles and three county championships.
