Section XI Schools, Individuals Named NYSPHSAA Winter Scholar-Athletes
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association Inc. (NYSPHSAA) announced its winter 2021 scholar-athlete teams and individuals.
This winter NYSPHSAA recognized 1,624 Scholar-Athlete teams and 17,897 individuals. A total of 430 schools across the state participated in the Scholar-Athlete program which honors schools each of the seasons there is interscholastic competition. Additional deadlines are available for schools and sections offering sports at different times.

The 2021 fall season II and the additional winter Scholar-Athlete submission period will begin on Monday, April 5th and will close on Monday, May 3rd.
Section XI Boys Golf Underway, Girls Golf to Begin in May
The Section XI boys golf – a fall sport – schedule began in mid-March and the season is underway.
The Section XI girls golf schedule is officially available and that season will run from May 3 to June 3.
Section XI tournaments will follow regular seasons.
Section XI Badminton Schedules Released
The Section XI boys and girls badminton season will run from May 5 to May 28.
The regular season will be followed by an individual tournament with the first round on June 2 and semis and finals on June 3.
Section XI Girls, Boys Track and Field Schedules Released
Section XI boys and girls spring track and field schedules are available.
The season will run from May 3 to June 5.
Division championships will be held June 7-12 and the Section XI championships are June 17-19.
Section XI Boys Tennis Schedules Available
Section XI boys tennis schedules for spring are now on SectionXI.org.
The season will run from May 5 to June 3 and is followed by the Section XI tournament.

SWR Hosts Section XI Athletics For All Event
Thursday was a gorgeous day for another Section XI Athletics For All event.
Thank you to Shoreham-Wading River High School for hosting the cross country fun run.
All participants had a positive experience.
Section XI Boys and Girls Lacrosse Schedules Available
Boys and girls lacrosse schedules for spring 2021 are available on SectionXI.org.
Regular season games will run from May 2 to June 5.
There will be a playoff tournament that runs from June 8 to June 16.
