It was an outstanding day of competition at the Section XI Girls County Tennis Championships, where Suffolk County’s best players battled for top honors and a chance to make their mark in local tennis history.
After a series of intense matches, Lily Castka of Bayport-Blue Point emerged as the 2025 Section XI Singles Champion, showcasing remarkable composure, athleticism, and consistency throughout the tournament. Her victory caps an exceptional season and cements her place among the county’s elite players.
In doubles play, the Ross School pairing of Lola Dangin and Lilly Weiss claimed the County Doubles Championship, demonstrating strong teamwork and strategy from start to finish. Their chemistry and precision at the net proved to be the winning formula as they powered through a talented field of competitors.
The day served as a celebration of skill, sportsmanship, and dedication, as student-athletes from across Suffolk County displayed the very best of high school tennis.
