John Glenn High School wrestling head coach TJ Brocking reached a remarkable milestone this past weekend, earning his 300th career dual meet victory and further cementing his legacy as one of the most respected coaches in the region.
Brocking, who began his tenure as head coach during the 2006–2007 season, has spent nearly two decades building the John Glenn wrestling program into a consistent and competitive force. Under his leadership, the Knights have developed a reputation for toughness, discipline and strong postseason performances.
Despite the milestone, Brocking said his focus has never been on personal accolades.
“I never thought about dual meet wins,” Brocking said. “I’ve always set my schedule for the kids to be their best in the postseason.”
That philosophy has helped shape the program’s culture, emphasizing preparation, growth and success when it matters most. Over the years, Brocking has guided countless student-athletes through demanding seasons while helping them develop both on and off the mat.
