Harborfields and Cold Spring Harbor baseball played a game to raise awareness for “Corey’s Promise,” which started in honor of Harborfields alum and pro baseball player Corey Phelan, who lost his battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2022.

He pitched in the Phillies’ organization and had a 0.93 ERA in five games during the 2021 season.

Corey’s Promise was created when Corey was in the hospital and saw the hardships that many families went through during their child’s cancer diagnosis.  He promised to help these families financially so that they could dedicate and focus more time on their children.

“I hope no one has to go through what I have been through to see how beautiful life is, but I hope everyone is able to see how beautiful life is the way I see it.”  -Corey Phelan
