In West Babylon they’ve created a program called Athletes Helping Athletes where upperclassmen speak with sixth grade classes to inspire them, teach them lessons – academically, socially and emotionally – and share personal experiences. This is a great connection for both groups of students involved!

Great community service work by student-athletes from Pat-Med football, who packed over 100 bagged lunches to feed the homeless through the St. Frances De Sales Church soup kitchen of Patchogue.
Congratulations to Walt Whitman on winning the first Section XI flag football championship!
They came up short against Bellmore-Merrick in the Long Island title game at the New York Jets’ practice facility, but it was a very memorable season.
Section XI is looking forward to growth in the game for years to come.

TU4C challenged L.I. Athletes to be a Sports Hero to a cause or someone in need this 2022 Spring Season to see how big of an IMPACT we could make together in our L.I. Communities!

First Place Winner receives a $3,000 scholarship or grant.
Second Place Winner receives a $1,500 scholarship or grant.
Third Place Winner receives a $500 scholarship or grant.

Congratulations to Mount Sinai’s Joey Spallina on breaking Nick Galasso’s Long Island high school lacrosse scoring record!
Spallina, who is committed to play at Syracuse in the fall, has 501 career points and counting.
The Mustangs won the Section XI Class C championship and advance to the Long Island title game on June 4 at 5:30 p.m.
