Three from Section XI Headed to NFL
Three Section XI alumni have reached the latest step in their dreams to play in the NFL.
Dylan Laube from Westhampton Beach and Matt Goncalves from Eastport South Manor were both drafted, and JJ Laap signed a free-agent contract.
Goncalves, out of Pittsburgh, was drafted by the Colts in the third round, 79th overall. Laube, out of New Hampshire, was drafted by the Raiders in the sixth round, 208th overall. Laap, out of Cortland, signed with the Rams.
Good luck to all three on their journey!

Lindenhurst Hosts Lax Game in Honor of Morgan’s Message
On Thursday, April 25, the Lindenhurst Girls Varsity Lacrosse team, led by head coach – Mike McGuire and assistant coach – Danielle Santagato – ran a Morgan’s Message event organized by seniors Nina Tantillo, Emma Colford, and Isabella Wolff to promote Student-Athlete Mental Health and overall Wellness.

Miller Place’s Nick Frusco Throws No-Hitter
NO-HITTER: Congrats to Miller Place junior lefty Nick Frusco on throwing a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts and recording a 6-0 win against Sayville on Monday!

Great work by Half Hollow Hills and Walt Whitman for organizing the second annual Autism Awareness Softball Game!

Pat-Med Softball Played Game in Tribute to Rare Disease Awareness
Pat-Med softball held a “rare disease awareness” game honoring Jose Alicea and the JZips Foundation.
Teams wore zebra stripes to represent Rare Disease Awareness and blue ribbons for histiocytosis.
North Babylon Throws Combined No-Hitter
Congrats to North Babylon’s Tim Camier (5.1 INP) and Chris Stumpf (1.2 INP) for throwing a combined no-hitter on April 17!
