National Recognition for Bay Shore’s Maggie McCormick

Maggie McCormick (Bay Shore, N.Y.) has been named National Girls Indoor Performer of the Week by MileSplot USA — and her résumé from the past few days makes it easy to see why.

The future Florida Gator put together an electric week:

  • 🥇 Mile Champion at The Armory Hispanic Games (Friday)
⏱️ 4:48 — a new indoor personal best, her second time under 4:50, and eight seconds faster than her time at the same meet last year.

  • 🥇 600m Champion at the Section XI Girls Crossover D (Sunday)
    ⏱️ 1:40.55 — nearly a five-second personal-best improvement in her first 600m since 2024.

Speed. Consistency. Big-meet performances. Maggie McCormick continues to raise the bar …  and the nation is taking notice.
