Congratulations to Alexandra Viera from Rocky Point High School on winning the inaugural New York State Girls Wrestling Invitational at 126 pounds!

Rocky Point native Alexandra Kelly is off to a strong start in her collegiate track and field career.
Last year’s New York State champion in the triple jump and the No. 1 ranked triple jumper in the country as a senior, Kelly made history at Princeton this season when she set a school record of 13.04m in the triple jump.
William Floyd’s 4 x 800 meter relay team of Aaliyah Jordan, Destiny Samuels, Brianna Smith and Zariel Macchia broke a school record at the Ocean Breeze Holiday Festival, finishing with a time of 9:56.40.
At the same competition, Zariel Macchia recorded a No. 1 time in the nation running the two mile in 10:33.22.
With that performance, the 4 x 800 meter relay team qualified for the Millrose Games on January 11, which saw them finish second with a time of 9:46.23, another school record.
This effort has qualified them for the New Balance Nationals Indoor at the Armory in March.
