Northport Track and Field alumni Mikey Brannigan took gold at the 1,500-meter race in Japan’s 2024 Para Athletics Championships.

Brannigan, diagnosed with autism at age 2, is one of the premier distance runners on the Paralympic scene. He also won Gold at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.
