Some notes from the NYSPHSAA bowling championships …

*The Section XI Boys Composite bowling team won the NYSPHSAA championship.

*Anthony Manetta of Comeswogue bowled the highest game in the state with a 279.

*Corey Volper won the sportsmanship award from Section XI.

*Congrats to the Section XI girls composite bowling team for placing second at the NYSPHSAA championships!

*Second High Game goes to Ilana Kapla from Commack and Trishna Desai from Smithtown and the 3rd High Game was Ava Mazella from Longwood.

*Kaylee Dwyer from Longwood is the Sportsmanship Award Winner from Section XI.

*NYSPHSAA Bowling State Championship Sportsmanship Award Recipients: Luke Jovans-Commack and Rosalie Crowe-East Islip

*East Islip girls placed second in the state

*Kailyn Bloch East Islip third highest series on the state
